The superstar we are talking about is none other than Bollywood’s Mr. Perfectionist Aamir Khan. Aamir Khan married twice, but he got divorced both times. The actor first married Reena Dutta and the second time he chose Kiran Rao as his life partner. Aamir once talked about his first marriage and told that he had spent only Rs 10 on it.
The actor had gone to get married sitting in a bus
Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta had a court marriage in 1986. The couple had secretly registered their marriage. According to Navbharat Times, Aamir Khan had told that he had gone to the registrar’s office by bus. He had taken bus number 211 whose ticket was for 50 paise. Aamir and Reena got married in the presence of three witnesses and thus the cost of their marriage was about 10 rupees.
Divorce happened after 16 years of marriage
Let us tell you that when Aamir Khan got married, he was only 21 years old. Reena Dutta was two years younger than him, i.e. 19 years old. After marriage, the couple became parents of two children Junaid Khan and Ayra Khan. After 16 years of marriage, Aamir Khan and Reena Dutta got divorced in 2002.
